Benchmark employs a diverse staff of 20 full-time professionals that includes certified planners, certified community development and housing specialists, certified code enforcement officials, and administrative professionals. Partnering with Benchmark brings not only expertise and commitment to a community’s project, but also a dedicated team that shares a community’s desire to fulfill its needs in a responsive, effective, and cost conscious manner.
Benchmark's team members have all worked in a local government setting, ensuring that its clients have experienced professionals with a dedicated spirit of public service. Our firm and staff serve county and municipal government clients and non-profit clients exclusively, avoiding any perceived conflicts of interest that can often arise when attempting to serve the private sector while also providing the high level of service entrusted to our firm by our valued local government client base.
In addition to the many talents of our staff, Benchmark has successfully collaborated with engineering, landscape architecture, historic preservation and architecture firms when those specific professional services are required for our clients’ projects. Through these successful collaborations, Benchmark has developed a reputation as a respected partner among our colleagues in allied professions, routinely contributing to charrettes, meeting facilitation, land use and zoning related issues, photo simulation and GIS mapping.
